We spent Day Two of our trip to New York shopping and sightseeing in Brooklyn. After eating our own body weight in pancakes we headed straight for the shops. Both my sister & I got a little too excited about being in Target, and I spent a small fortune on candles in Bath & Body Works. My housemates this year better enjoy the smell of salted caramel! We then popped into Mac where I couldn't resist buying my second high-end lipstick.
After dropping off our bags, we headed to the Brooklyn Flea Market in Williamsburg to grab some lunch. It was a great little place full of individual stands selling a variety of things. There were also plenty of options for lunch, so we decided on some Vietnamese fresh spring rolls with a peanut dipping sauce. Can you tell I'm missing Vietnam?
With our bellies full of prawns & fresh vegetables we made our way to walk on Brooklyn Bridge. And it may sound silly but I didn't expect it to be so big! Although it was full of tourists doing the same walk as us it was still a great experience and the views were incredible. Just try not to get run over by all of the cyclists...
We only walked halfway across the bridge before heading back to the promenade. After a full day of shopping and walking our feet were killing us!
Have you been to Brooklyn before?
