The River Seine, Pont de l'Archevêché & Luxembourg Gardens

Paris may now be one of my favourite cities ever. Although I may be a little bias as the weekend I visited the weather was beautiful & warm, and there was barely a cloud in the sky.

I loved walking along the River Seine. A great way to spend a couple of hours is to grab some sandwiches from a nearby shop and eat them with your legs hanging over the river. It's surprisingly peaceful even though you're in the middle of a city.

We ventured along to Pont de l'Archevêché - one of the lock bridges in Paris. There are several scattered around the city but they may not be around for much longer.

The locks from the Pont de Arts bridge have already been removed due to the weight of them being dangerous. There are also campaigns called 'No Love Locks' to try and protect the bridges and monuments.

Still, it was quite impressive to see!

We finally made our way to the Luxembourg Gardens & Palace which really are stunning.

We'd originally hoped to watch the sunset whilst having a picnic but then realised the gardens closed at 9:15pm. Bad planning on my part!

So we dragged our tired feet and retreated back to our hotel for a feast of fresh baguettes, orange juice, chocolate & crisps. How very healthy.

Have you seen any of the love lock bridges before?
